Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Veneza Interiors (operated by Shreekaant Ray, Kolkata & Odisha) for any interior design services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms govern all projects, consultations, and agreements between Veneza Interiors and its clients.

2. Scope of Services

Veneza Interiors provides residential and commercial interior design services including concept development, space planning, material selection, procurement coordination, and project supervision. The specific scope for each project is defined in the individual Project Agreement signed prior to commencement.

• Any changes to the agreed scope must be documented in writing and may incur additional fees.
• Veneza Interiors reserves the right to decline projects that conflict with our design philosophy or operational capacity.

3. Payment Terms

Project fees are structured in milestones as outlined in the Project Agreement:

• Design Retainer (30%): Due upon signing the Project Agreement before design work commences.
• Design Development (40%): Due upon client approval of design concepts and material selections.
• Project Completion (30%): Due upon substantial completion of all works.

All payments are due within 7 days of invoice. Late payments beyond 14 days may incur a 2% monthly interest charge. Veneza Interiors reserves the right to pause project work until overdue payments are settled.

4. Intellectual Property

All design concepts, drawings, mood boards, specifications, and creative materials produced by Veneza Interiors remain the intellectual property of Veneza Interiors until full payment is received. Upon receipt of final payment, the client is granted a non-exclusive licence to use the designs for the specific project property only.

Veneza Interiors retains the right to photograph completed projects and use images for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes, unless the client expressly requests confidentiality in writing.

5. Client Responsibilities

• Provide accurate property measurements, existing plans, and access to the premises as required.
• Obtain all necessary building permissions, society approvals, and regulatory clearances.
• Ensure timely decision-making on design approvals to maintain project timelines.
• Inform Veneza Interiors of any structural, electrical, or plumbing constraints before project commencement.

6. Project Timelines

Estimated project timelines are provided in good faith and are subject to factors outside Veneza Interiors' control, including material availability, vendor lead times, labour availability, and client approval delays. Veneza Interiors will communicate timeline changes promptly and work to minimise disruption.

7. Limitation of Liability

Veneza Interiors' total liability for any claim arising from a project shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for that project. We are not liable for consequential, indirect, or punitive damages. We do not warrant the work of third-party contractors, vendors, or suppliers, though we exercise reasonable care in their selection.

8. Cancellation & Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days' written notice. Upon termination, the client is liable for all work completed to date, plus a termination fee of 15% of the remaining project value. Design fees paid are non-refundable once design work has commenced.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal.
